Which topic is the hardest in your opinion?

I found ideas to implementation to be the hardest while space and motors and generators to be in the same level.

Need 3 more elective credit points?

Are you able to do TSP?

    distance between classes?

Pretty much everything does. I always found that moving between classes was a non-issue, regardless of locations.

    Timetables

I'd take the 2 day weeks over anything.

    Significant figures?

Never thought of it that way, very interesting.

    Volume of liquid question

The volume of liquid water should be significantly lower than 147 L - it should be ~106 mL. anomalousdecay, I don't know why you're trying to argue that it's asking for the gas volume - it's clearly asking for the volume of "liquid water".

    What is a radical?

Yeah, just have a chlorine atom with 7 valence electrons...ta da, neutral free radical :)

    1st year and HWAM

I'm pretty sure this applies only to all first year units and I believe it only applies to some faculties (eg Science).

do you get to choose your own timetable?

You don't get to pick exactly where your classes go but you can select times where you prefer not to have class. The timetabling system will try to work around your preferences but for obvious reasons, this isn't always possible.

    What is a radical?

An atom or molecule (can be ions) with unpaired electrons is a free radical - in HSC, it's usually one of the atoms doesn't have a full valence shell (typically an octet). Free radicals are not necessarily uncharged.

    Question about advanced units?

For chemistry, it's a small step up and it does scale higher - generally, do advanced units when possible.

Advice for Applying to St. Mary's Senior High School?

Errr...no. Obviously, they look at a lot of things but you don't necessarily need to be well rounded. If you're decent at academics and have not much else, that should be enough. Also, it's not a selective school, at all - you just apply and they consider you. Anyway, SMSHS isn't very...

HELP I dunno what happened in my prac

You need to be clearer on what you exactly did and how you diluted. For example, did you add say 3 drops of indicator at the start then continually diluted the solution or did you start with the acid, took a sample then diluted (and so on) and added 3 drops of indicator to each sample.

    Quick Radioisotope Question?

Basically, they make the molecule using oxygen-18 rather than oxygen-16 so basically, it starts off with oxygen-18 rather than oxygen-16.

    Quick Radioisotope Question?

The mass, itself, means nothing - it's the number of protons (too many).

    Serious advice needed :)

Do the one where the course fits what you like the most - the UNSW vs USYD thing is rather irrelevant in almost all instances.

    Faraday's Law Paradox

    It's called Faraday's disc :P
