How bad is bad? (Engineering @ Usyd)

Re: 回复: Re: How bad is bad? (Engineering @ Usyd) I've heard that Engineering faculty isn't that great, yeah. And from my judgement of the science buildings at USYD, and the high tech Law buildings, that seems to hold true. UNSW definitely seems to be the better technical school. USYD is...

What's the job opportunities and prospects for Chemical Engineering?

I know it's in demand, but how high of a demand? Employment opportunities/salaries?

    B Engineering / B Law

That's a quote from a Uni. They'll do anything to attract more students. I'd say go for either or, not both. Arts/Law I can understand, but not BE/Law.

    B Engineering / B Law

By your logic Medicine degree =/ doctor Tell me honestly, what are some applications of law you could use in engineering? excluding building regulations and such

Can someone give me a reason as to why the UAI for Aeronautical(space) is so high?

From what I've seen, the UAC book says that Aerospace with Astronautics has only an 88 UAI requirement.... Just looking in to different engineering degrees at different unis and just windering why there is such a major anomaly...

Does the Aerospace degree at UNSW feature Space Aeronautics?

Whatever dudes. "Handbook" usually means something in physical form. But rather than discussing the complexities of the term handbook, can I get a definitive answer? Let me add to my question...I've looked at the handbook, and it gives you the list of courses UNSW does, but how much of it is...

Does the Aerospace degree at UNSW feature Space Aeronautics?

Actually, I wasn't too dumb to read the handbook. I just haven't got one available for me. I don't need your fucking condescension.

    B Engineering / B Law

Why someone would do it is beyond me. It's not like you can be an engineer AND a lawyer. If you're doing Eng./Law, you're just wasting time for one of the courses. Arts/Law makes more sense.

    Is this a major anomaly?

It was the general space physics building. So theroretical cosmology as well.
  10. arjungamer123

    Is this a major anomaly?

Yeah, it was sad how bad the buildings were.

    Is this a major anomaly?

Thanks for your help :D I'm planning to do study abroad anyway, but I'm planning to defer any offers here, to keep them as backups. What I saw today of USYD was truly dreadful. The astronomy building looked worse than any high school I've ever seen.
  12. arjungamer123

    Is this a major anomaly?

I know that. But I'm assuming Aerospace refers to Aeronautical (Space),or are universities intentionally misleading us, and aerospace at unsw refers to plain aeronautics?
  13. arjungamer123

    Is this a major anomaly?

Hey ianc, could you give me a background of the enginnering courses at UNSW? How is the Aerospace course(if you have seen it)?

    UTS OR USYD for Engineering!

It still means that UNSW is better than USYD. Peer review implies that people from other unis regard it as good. Who cares though, in the end, its you work that will speak volumes about you. My friend's relative graduated with a good score from UWS, and is now at Stanford University in...

    UTS OR USYD for Engineering!

http://www.topuniversities.com/worlduniversityrankings/results/2008/subject_rankings/technology/ UNSW is the best Aussie uni in engineering/IT according to Times.
  16. arjungamer123

    Is this a major anomaly?

So basically I'm in Yr 12, and I was browsing over some requirements for Aerospace Engineering, and I found that UNSW has a requirement of 88.00 UAI, while USYD has a requirement of 99.65 UAI. . . . Now, as far as I know, from experience, rankings...

    Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Are you kidding? Sorry to rain on parades, but MIT accepts 100-200 international students per year...from a pool of potentially larger than 2000! You'd need a VERY high SAT or ACT mark, as well as nothing lower than 95 UAI. And lets not forget the fact that you need to have rock solid...
