Technically you can't say mass of the atom.
Dispersion forces are created by the random movement of electrons in an atom; in such a way as to attract atoms together. Therefore, the greater number of atoms present in the molecule; more the dispersion forces.
So "mass" in the chemical...
No they want to see consistency. They want to see that you can stay consisten for 4 gruelling years of American college.
Luckily though; if you apply to a uni, you CAN get you principal to write a letter explaining the Aussie system. But that's at the Principals's discretion.
Whoever said that you have to do SAT or IB is dead wrong.
For 99% of schools you must submit either SATs or ACT(a competitor standardised test)
And trust me on this one guys; Harvard and MIT are out of most Australians' reach. Trust me on this one. Americans have a hard enough time getting in...
SAT, SAT subject tests or ACT.
Also you don't need to take the IB. IB is just an international equivalent competitor of the HSC. Though it is much, much harder.
Sorry man, I made a faulty comparison. I know there are programs of biotech here. But most biotech majors come from chem eng and BSc is what I meant to say.
Re: UWS engineering.. not sure if I'll get UAI
Someone from UWS got in to Stanford Business School.
If you word hard anywhere, you're going to get the results.
Lol the whole world is intrested in Biotechnology. It's like the dot-com bubble. It's just that in America and stuff, there are no "biotech" degrees, people usually do chem eng or science or biomed eng. and major in biotech.:) Same goes for here.
Are you doing Bachelor of Biotech, or BSc with Biotech, or Biomedical Engineering with Biotech?
In the latter two, expect maths. Not sure about the former though. Check up the curriculum in the appropriate website for the uni/faculty/department.
walking speed:
x/20
cycling speed:
x/5
therefore, to equate the speeds, you'd need to multiply the walking speed by 4 to achieve the same cycling speed:
4 times x/20
=
x/5
Therefore, 4 times faster.
EDIT: x is any arbitrary number which denotes the distance aht anna cycles.
No?
Re: UWS engineering.. not sure if I'll get UAI
I heard Ext. 1 is a prerequisite, no?
If it is, then probably not, unless you explain your condition to them and they understand.
Berkeley, if anyting, is more intense than Harvard. Harvard is full of snooty rich kids wasting daddy's money. Berkeley is full of future software billionaires.
See the thing about American admissions systems are that they are very very subjective.
They basically look at a few common factors...
