I'd be interested in doing something like that but i'm only starting 1st year next month. Will our knowledge base be good enough after 1st year to do something like that? Does anyone have any idea how I can apply for something like that at UNSW? :)

They keep reading until they reach the end or until you have said enough to get full marks so the technique works brilliantly :) You need to take care when you do this at school because some teachers will deduct marks if you put in incorrect information.

Print out syllabus dot points. Read the dot points so you can learn actively. Read as many textbooks as you can. Make sure you have a through understanding of the concepts. Make DETAILED notes for the dot points. Don't worry if they are long- the longer the better. Include diagrams...

Hey woozy, there is a small statement in the UWS rejection email that hints of them only considering applicants who have only done the UMAT a maximum of two times. As you know I have done it twice now. Do you think you can ask someone and get back to me about this? Cheers :)

Just do a couple of searches online. I've seen some physio jobs in the North Shore offering 140K - there might be some competition for this. If you get your own practice running in physio there is no cap, it comes down to how many patients you have, The same applies to pharmacy, some make 100K+...

If you are just keen on medicine I would go to UNSW as far as I know a science degree won't help you unless you're able to do a honours year and maybe get some research published. You have opportunities to do this with an MBBS anyway.

Most prep course sessions aren't that great. It's really the material that's going to help you. Some of the sessions are basically just going over/reading the material and if you want to do medicine I'm sure you can handle that! If you have questions you can ring them up or send an email...

If you work hard you should be okay :) Just don't get into a period of procrastination because if you miss even a weeks worth of work it will be hard to catch up due to the pace they teach at uni. Thats my 2c :)
