done so bad first assessment ..

First things first: Identify why you did poorly even though you say you knew the content? If you find the problem is something along these lines, you should work on your ability to think on the spot (for example) rather than studying the content as much.

Is it possible to "catch up".

There should honestly be a sticky telling people to stop making these threads so they realise that the HSC is not decided by a single assessment which makes up a miniscule amount of the total marks.

    K-pop music fest in Sydney

Can't say I like SNSD anymore. I don't really like the direction they've gone in.

    Long Distance Running?

For a race to be regarded as long-distance, it typically has to exceed 5 kilometres in distance. School cross countries are on the borderline that I probably wouldn't regarded it as one.

    question about timetable

Just checked the timetable I uploaded to Facebook at the beginning of the year and it seems that it was available for personalisation exactly 2 weeks before semester started. From this, I can guess that you'll be able to obtain it from the 20th February. Mind you though, there is someone on BoS...

The Official University of Sydney Toilet Thread

Ground level of Watt Building is a good option for students needing to go if they are in Wallace. Our faculty doesn't have many students so the building is generally quiet.

Can I accept Main Round Offers online??

An offer is presumed to be accepted automatically but enrolment is another issue. As others have said, you can enrol online but if you go to a university which requires in-person enrolment (e.g. USYD), you will need to have a proxy go down and enrol for you. This will involve filling in various...

Anyone else here on BoS take part in any long distance races?

    K-pop music fest in Sydney

What really scares me though is the degree of fandom for kpop artists. I just feel that people who have been taken under by the 한류 wave obsessing over these artists like gods doesn't seem right. You have to put into perspective that these are people who have been "manufactured" for this purpose...

    Officeworks

Even though Officeworks state they have no vacancies, it would be worth sending your resume and a cover letter to them anyway. Initiative is always a big plus in business.

Will Economics overwhelm me the next 2 years?

With the Year 12 course very much focused on macroeconomics, it makes it much easier for students devise a process in learning these concepts. For example, things such as globalisation, inflation, unemployment and specific economic policies are very much transparent in regards to the...

    The Football Thread

Re: The Official Football Thread The prospect of playing Norwich next week with a backline composing of: Simpson Perch Santon R.Taylor seriously frightens me.

Economics or Studies of Religion? (Year11)

Don't let the hype about scaling bother you. As long as you apply yourself consistently throughout the HSC, doing any subject will yield good results.

    Officeworks

In regards to retail, Officeworks is somewhere I could envisage a sense of enjoyment from working so best of luck to you there.

    Pharmacy- low job prospects?

Did you ask those graduates what they did during their tenure at university and immediately after graduation? Perhaps ask them whether they had any decent experience working while doing their degree as low job prospects seem to go against the claims stating that job prospects for graduates are high.

Who thinks they stuffed up already?

50% of the HSC comes from the final exam so this assessment only counted for 7.5% of your total. Choosing to drop the subject based on one disappointing result reveals a defeatist attitude. Don't bother.
