I enquired about tutoring at Prior. They don't hire anyone who can't tutor 4U maths on top of whichever subject they want to teach, because most of the Prior students do 4U maths. And apparently 3U is just not good enough. :(

Sounds to me like you're on the right track. It's still hard to tell because you've only completed a small part of your HSC course. If you keep up the top 10 rankings, you should be able to get in the 90+ range, and if you can get into the top 3, then USyd Commerce is yours!

Actually, you can. But teachers usually advise you against it. If you want to do an option different to that of everyone else, then you can request to do so (according to my HSC tutor). I advise you against it too, unless you can find a really excellent tutor who can give you a few lessons per week.

Rivvy dear, there's a big big difference between watching CSI and answering a 7-marker on how electrophoresis separates amino acids.

You can just ramble on about fermentation forever. Likewise for ethanol. We had a 7-marker on a combination of ethanol, fermentation and esterification in our HSC last year. Sometimes you just have to write down everything you know. My answer took up almost a whole writing booklet.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that if you do Forensics, the second part of the option is a lot easier to understand for those who do Phys. Although if you're taking up an entire (and not exactly easy) subject for one seventh of another ... don't.
