This is only for "Credit" transactions or gift cards, the option appears if the card fails to read after three swipes. We used to enter it into the screen but now that they've changed the software for the chip cards it has to go into the PinPad itself for some inexplicable reason.

It is kinda, especially when you walk past and there are carcasses just hanging there.

i have been fired by coles for theft, will there be any records??

Trust me, there are records. I was talking to someone who told me that when he was 2IC at another store this guy was busted after a few months for fraud: his friends would come in every week and buy meat but he'd stack the packs on top of each other and only scan the top one. By the end of...

Also, I stopped ironing (well, my mum stopped ironing them :) ) my shirts and pants ages ago - they don't seem to get that creased, must be the material.

We only close two days out of the year: Good Friday and Christmas Day. But we're only opening for 13 hours on Easter Sunday as opposed to the usual 15. Also, that receipt idea is the best ever, whenever I work on express the majority of what's in the bin is unwanted receipts for when people...

We kinda have that same problem on thursday and friday nights when it can be really busy and it's just the night supervisor who's running around getting price checks, replacement items, doing refunds smokes, answering the phone and even having to jump on express.

I don't think our CSM has done a close shift since I've been working. I don't mind, our main close supervisor is the best. Makes up for working late at night, so much more of a casual vibe esp. when it's quiet.

I think we still accept handed in resumes :/ I know I got my job by the online application process. I guess if you're going to hand in your resume, make sure you've put in an online application as well so they have something to look at with the details there and the test they make you do.

Is TAS getting Everyday Rewards? I hope it's not at the cost of FSC, that's a much better deal than Everyday Rewards. And don't worry, I dislike Devonport Woolworths as much as you do ;)

When I have to work straight after school I just put my clothes neatly folded into a shopping bag and leave that in my locker.

Nice work by the Woolworths team on these new Fresh Produce price signs: EDIT: Sorry about the picture being big and sideways, seems to only happen with iPhone photos.

OUCH! I think the most we've done in a day is $300k. But I hate how people seem to think that because the store closes for a day, the whole world will implode on itself. Good thing Easter Saturday isn't a public holiday here so we'll be adequately staffed (I've got 11-5)

'0' is also a common number on different phone systems for an outside line.

*facepalm* It probably wouldn't even be 25 cents, more like 5 with the amount of calls Woolworths would make. We yet people use our service desk phone all the time if they need to call a bank, taxi, RACT, etc.
