What will your UAC preferences be??

UWS is a huge uni and has an extremely large law school accross two campuses' and provides a large number over 130+ law internship placements, more than most uni's i think. They have also artificially kept many uai placements low through schemes such as the bonus points to give more students...

    rank the unis with medicine

LLB/MBBS at Monash (School leavers only) for the win! :uhhuh: Yeah the med student tsunami is going to be a huge problem, due to our ageing work force, lack of placements/government support, etc.

    B. Radiography & Med. Imaging

Pfft, you can get into med with a UAI as low as 93 or 95 in many schools! I think your not the best person to pass judgement on this since your a freshman at uni. Also i've done plenty of work experience with radiography, i got bored sh8tless.

    Should I overload?

You could do some of your electives in Summer or Winter School, make sure u get Fee-Help or something though since they are currently DFEE only, however that may change soon aswell. Also some of the options are extremely limited though.

    No Defee Places?

The government is still undercompensating universities by about $30-40million. So yeah that's alot of International Full-fee places/research/course cuts/infrastructure-amenities to either increase or cut.

Is the University of Western Sydney really as bad as people make it out to be?

UWScollege thank you, omgz lolz we have a college at uni! The cut-off's at UWS are artificially lowered for many low uai courses including nursing, this is to give more students from Western Sydney an opportunity to get a tertiary education. Given the fact that most of the students who...

Yeah, unfortunately again. I can get into JCU but then again, Townsville *sigh* I'm also broke! Pretty much screwed up section 1 last year, but yeah this i think i did a bit better. Especially since alot of the questions were from last years exam. Just for those playing from 07: I...

How Are Umat Scores Worked Out!!

Correction 2008^ You can repeat umat next year. Their are a few options risk getting a poor equivalent GPA/UAI by going to uni, I personally woudn't do this if I got 99+. Or go to uni and try to get in to medicine as a non-standard, however you are ruled out of some uni's such as...

    UAC guide 09

Yeah, but i doubt it will drop significanlty. Law at Usyd will prob be slighlty lower but still in the 99.+ this year, but Usyd is going to fill alot of the gaps with more international full-fee students. :karate:

Need help with The Educational Access Scheme

DW, it is hard to get your head around it. But yeah that's right you've got it! But yeah make sure the school knows in advance if they don't already know about your situation because they will ask the careers advisor or the principal about your situation in the EAS application. Also...

Need help with The Educational Access Scheme

Please read things more carefully The uni looks at what uac gives them. You apply through UAC and then uac gives a rating of your circumstances to the university. The university decides on ur placement in your particular course. EAS does not count towards most dentistry and medicine...

    UMAT Discussion

Just to be on the safe side yes arrive early! Registration starts just before that time. But yeah it normally takes an hour+ for the exam to start, their procedures is to wait untill they have a decent number of people registered and in the venue before the lock the doors, then you have to wait...

    B Laws/B Arts

Yeah, you can get in with UAI's that low esp for some schools in GWS. But the cut-off has gone up by 3 points. Nope, they only look at ur uai and if you've done english as long as you get band 5/6 in legal students and are in GWS you should be able to get in with a uai of 83 more or less...

    B Laws/B Arts

5 points, another 5 for legal studies aswell or 5 for being in Greater Western Sydney. But the max is 10 so yeah a UAI of 80ish should get you in, i think it's gone up this year to 93. Their is alot of negative stigma, besides you can always transfer out to macquarie or uts. With law...
