    Any bodybuilders in here?

I guess there will always be conflicting research, especially in bodybuilding. Some of those excerpts are interesting. The other thing to remember though, is that if you leave 1 -1.5 hrs between your pre-workout meal and your training, then train for 1 - 2 hrs, you should be due for a meal...

What do you take to the gym?

Water and a towel are essential. I take: - Water - Towel - Straps - Belt - Post-workout shake - Programme I prefer to have water during the workout. Although, I add sodium to my post-workout shake to replenish that which is lost.

    UTS v UWS

Wow guys, that's enough. Unless you are enjoying this argument, there is no need to continue. I agree with both of what you say. There will be a very small minority of students who score 98+ at UWS this year. The UAI, while not perfect, is the best measurement we have of a student's aptitude...

    What are you currently Reading?

Just finished, "Base Instincts: What Makes Killers Kill"... now started, "Terminate with Extreme Prejudice".

    Fat arms

Most definitely. I just did a little but of research and found (from one source) that if you regularly stretch you can gradually increase the muscle's resting length by lengthening the connective tissue that surrounds your muscle fibers. But does this explanation suggest that the muscle...

    "Midnight on the 5th"

Yeah, I never really thought about it...but midnight on the 5th would technically mean 10 minutes ago (as of, the time of ur post), since midnight is the 5th. However, I'm pretty sure we have all of Thursday to change preferences.

    GUYS>>>glasses on Chicks!!

Depends on the girl; depends on the glasses. Some girls look really sophisticated and sexy in those thick, black rectangular shaped glasses (imo).

    losing weight?

Oh no! By no means am I saying don't eat carbs!! They are an essential macronutrient needed for energy! You've just go to eat the right carbs and at the right times.

    Fat arms

Nah, I don't think so. I just don't see how. Maybe if you could get someone who has told you this to actually explain how it would achieve this, that would help. Even though this may not be true, don't be deterred from stretching often!! Stretching between each set will increase your range of...

    losing weight?

If you dont eat for 8 hours you will still be breaking a fast. The idea is to cut down the amount of time you are in a catabolic state. I dont suggest that you wake up every few hours and eat, but I do advocate that you eat before bed and you eat appropriate food. For example, cottage cheese is...

What happens in the first few weeks/months at uni?

...or what about a filing cabinet? Do we get a shitload of paper work that we will need organised?
  15. H

    losing weight?

Why does everyone say this? I can understand not eating certain foods late at night due to insulin sensitivity, but not eating at all seems ludicrious. If I generalise and estimate that the average person eats breakfast at 7am, that is 12 - 13 hours without food... Maybe if you didn't eat...

Courses to do for music based occupation

Are you serious? Don't you think you should have bee researching this kind of stuff a long time ago? in reply to your question - I have no idea. Have a look through the UAC Guide, then get additional info from the uni's online handbooks.

    UTS v UWS

Fair enough. :) Thanks mate, I hope you're right.

    UTS v UWS

That is true, but I doubt the intention of Jennifer's post was to argue that UWS is superior to other law schools.

    UTS v UWS

Thanks Jennifer. I spoke to Professor Carolyn Sappideen today and she was telling me some of the good aspects of UWS Law, including some of which you have mentioned above. Carolyn is probably one of the only people of whom I spoke to who seemed to answer me honestly when I asked about the...
