    My advise to first years

well, well, well. since university, at least in my experience, has been a lot less enjoyable than I had originally envisioned it to be, I thought I'd lay down my tips on how to survive uni with the least effort involved. 1. sit at the front of every tutor that you have a group assignment for...

WTF $12million on carbon tax ads.......

tax higher income earners more so we can advertise covert labor party messages in attempt to save the polls. herpaderp. cause that 100 million wouldn't have gone to good use down at the royal north shore. fuck.

    Carbon Pricing

income redistribution is okay to an extent but for fucks sake, it's pretty much an elephant in the room for this whole carbon tax. the only way i would ever support this scheme would be if there was some kind of world wide agreement like kyoto, so we're not going it alone and hence achieving...

    Carbon Tax

Yet Australia is almost solely relying on it's resources sector to push the economy at the moment. Oh sure, Gillard can mention that this scheme 'works' in Europe but really what does that prove? Europe is strong in agriculture, technology and other industries that don't rely as heavily on the...

    Do you trade shares?

learn to trade as in what? how and where to buy/sell shares or learning about options and other financial instruments?

    Do you trade shares?

see there's your problem with uni education. this is how the market works: first of all you have day traders: from my personal experience these guys get themselves a margin lending account which pretty much multiplies the amount of money they would otherwise be outlaying by about 10x. So...

    Carbon Tax

oi listen here drongos clearly our leader julia gillark said that industry will innovate to reduce the burden of the carbon tax. so our airlines are going to innovate and just somehow not use petrol to fly planes. herpafuckingderp

    Carbon Tax

oh im glad australia with its 1% of emissions world wide is going to make this big leap forward. never mind china/US. nah but the greenies have to feel good about themselves when they are going to bed at night regardless of the fact that this is going to do nothing.

Bachelor of Commerce at ANU or UNSW or Usyd?

No that doesn't help. You show a lot of opinion, little fact. I'm not sure why you say ANU is the best university for commerce when UNSW has, on average, the highest starting salaries for graduates out of any uni in aus and also was the first Australian uni to get a 5 star QS international...

    Australian Politics

never been a fan of gillard. she just comes across as this puppet who just sticks to the party line and does whatever the powerbrokers tell her to. lacks conviction. god dammit at least krudd took a stand and same goes for turnbull.

    Do you trade shares?

i'm not 100% sure about your theory on outlay seremify, i work at a discount broker and all transactions (regardless of whether you buy and then sell before settlement, or on the same day) get credited and debited as separate transactions, hence you will get fail fee + have to find some way to...

Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW or Usyd?

tbh if you look at it on a basic level; students going to unsw/usyd are all students who are sitting mid 90s in uai. students at bathurst uni and uws are mostly high 70s low 80s. assuming unis mark to a bell curve in awarding their ps, cs, ds and hds, a c @ unsw/usyd will most likely...

Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW or Usyd?

UNSW USYD top 2 unis in NSW for commerce. It doesn't exist at the same level it used to but I know some firms still place a weighting on your application based on where your degree is from (i.e a low cred average at UNSW may equal a mid/high Dist average at UWS)

    Democracy is failing

true except both parties went to an election with no plans to adopt the policy. my point isn't about the validity of such a carbon price/tax but rather the ruling party being swindled by single members of parliament.
