Section I - Law and Society

You were correct to begin with. I put legal aid, tribunals and the fact that the law is always published in brochures and on the internet.

Section I - Law and Society

The courts aren't accessible. Generally, the multi-choice was quite easy. What did everyone put for.. Q 12: Which of the following statements most accurately described the operation of the ruleof law? (A) All law makers are elected (B) Al law is made by parliament (C) Innocent...

    Section II - Crime

Crime was very dodgy this year. Questions (a) and (b) were okay, although (c) and (d) were a little too ambiguous, vague and broad. For comparing and contrasting the problems faced by males and female I discussed: Females Find that the criminal justice system is unrepresentative of...

Is Anyone Else Feeling They Havent Done Enough For Leagal?

Why would you have to cram the whole course in one night? You appear to know your stuff quite well.

    Legal Processes and Institutions

Yeah, and I was asking how you link marketing and advertising to legal processes. In a question that asks about the role of legal process and institutions for example, I was planning to write about: - Marketing and Advertising - Credit Then the consumer redress process, which involves...

    They are the legal institutions.
  8. H

    Crimes committed outside the jurisdiction

Thanks. Lucky I seen that in the textbook then - I would have written something completely wrong otherwise.

    Legal Processes and Institutions

How would you link 'legal processes' to marketing & advertising?

The Changing Understanding of Human Rights

Sorry, don't quite understand your question.. If you mean how much should you know for a Q relating to the changing understanding HRs, barely anything. I was just pointing out that you coupld possibly mention them to illustrate specific changes do society's understanding of HRs. If...

Is Anyone Else Feeling They Havent Done Enough For Leagal?

I wouldn't. If it was an essay, it would be like the focus studies in that students wouldn't have to know everything to score full marks because the question would be too broad.

Is Anyone Else Feeling They Havent Done Enough For Leagal?

Are they allowed to do that?

Is Anyone Else Feeling They Havent Done Enough For Leagal?

I feel as though I am ready for Law and Justice and Human Rights, and once I go over a few things in Crime I should be ready for that also. I still need quite a bit of work on the focus studies before I will be adequately prepared for them though.

The Changing Understanding of Human Rights

The ones I have include Magna Carta, English Bill of Rights, US Declaration of Independence, Constitution of USA, French Declaration on the Rights of Man and the Citizen and the US Bill of Rights. Plus the contemporary treats and conventions such as UDHR, ICCPR, CROC etc. Anything else which...

    Crimes committed outside the jurisdiction

I was fine with this until I realised the discrepancy between my notes and another textbook. What does everyone else have for this dot point? In my notes I have how an Australian who comits a crime in one jurisdiction is subject to their laws, but in the textbook it talk abouts crimes that...

The Changing Understanding of Human Rights

Oh ok, thanks. You could probably also talk about the movements for slavery abolition, trade unionism and universal education and suffrage also.

The Changing Understanding of Human Rights

What points do people have for this part of the syllabus? I only have the UDHR (1948) and globalisation. What else is there?

    Exam room

I had my papers, glasses' cases and water bottle on the ground and they didn't say anything to me.
  19. H

    Law and Society Extended Responses

Why would you want to learn so much when they aren't going to ask you a question worth more than 6 marks?

How many pages did you write for Q2?

I'm surprised that so many people wrote so much for section II. My teacher told me not to write more than 600 words. My story was 3.5 pages.
