Yep, but I was referring to the actual number of students with WAM > 75 in the Faculty of Science, not uni-wide.

    Majors & Minors

Let's get this clear. In 3970 BSc, you need to do: major+major (otherwise known as double major) OR major+minor Anything not counting towards your major or minor is an elective. Of the 144UOC, 84UOC must be from the Science Faculty. No need to overload either. A minor is taken from...

    Courses & Careers Day 2006

Well, thats over now. For those who wanted to know, I was at the front gate (Anzac parade) - the Asian guy with the two clickers in my hand - one click for each person that entered the gate. I've got RSI now - clicking that thing thousands of times!! Lord Ac: I've put two and two together...

    Transferring from La Trobe

RTTTYRT: what's these threads - all nearly the same! http://community.boredofstudies.org/136/faculty-commerce/119749/anyone-transfer-uws.html#post2511816 http://community.boredofstudies.org/645/college-commerce/119748/anyone-transfer-uws.html#post2511815 Admissions are done by UAC. They...

Transferring into B Psych from Adv Science?

Yes. The post-grad is on top of the B Psych. If you did BSc (Adv) and 2 years post-grad on top, they might not recognise it. Well, as far as I'm concerned, its not on their list of recognised ones.

Hard to say. Roughly speaking, I'd say it corresponds more to 15-20%, rather than 10%. Does it matter? I have heard of the figure of how many students have a WAM >75, but for obvious reasons, I can't disclose that information.

Transferring into B Psych from Adv Science?

B Psych is recognised by APS. B Adv Science is not.

    Courses & Careers Day 2006

I'll be there. See if anyone on BOS can spot me!! (redslert, you don't count!)
  9. T

Transferring into B Psych from Adv Science?

No, it goes through UAC. And no they are not the same degrees. In Adv Sci you need to do the LIFExxxx subjects, but in a B Psych, you don't.

    UNSW pix

Sure thing. The Rebel isn't that spectacular, I'm stuck on the kit-lens - but it beats a P&S. Yes, I need a tripod. Not sure if I should go budget and buy a $100 one, or get a better Manfrotto for ~$200!

    UNSW pix

They are not my shots. Well, now that I've got a new camera, more will be coming, once I get a tripod! And a new lens, if I can afford it!

    Working casually for UNSW

I work in various parts of the university, and all student assistants are paid at casual rate. The library also employs people to put books on the shelves, and they are also paid the casual rate. As for getting these jobs, I would suggest you ask around - see who works where and see if they...

    33uoc - Crazy?

That may be the case. What I was referring to was, that if you wanted the main Science Student Admin to enrol you, you won't get over 30UOC, regardless of your transcript. But if maths/comp will do it for you, that's another story.
  14. T

    33uoc - Crazy?

Well if Maths will enrol you into 33UOC, be my guest. But the science faculty will not let you go over 30UOC. Period.

    Semester 1 Results

Umm.. In that case, I suggest you don't worry about the remark. But seriously, do it as soon as possible, regardlessof holiday-or-not. In university administration, dates and timestamps of all correspondence are sometimes taken into account. For example, you might email now, and the...

If you wait too long, it will be too late. I believe you have 14 days from now to lodge an appeal.

Haha, there's some truth to that. But I opted to not recieve the email.

Any actuarial students available for a quick interview?

I wonder.. should I post up the 70meg video.. hahaha. It shows how actuaries interact (or lack of)

    general UNSW chit-chat

Actually, I'm glad there's one more semester of fees. I'm the new treasurer for two societies, and having CASOC to help with the finances is really valuable. Up until now, I took the fees thing for granted. But can't wait till next year, no more fees (and the societies won't be my...
