I just wanted some study tips from uni students as I'm starting uni this year in a combined law program and I know that uni subjects are much more denser and difficult than hsc level (not only in content but because there is a lot of independent study).
The reason I'm asking the question is...
Ok, great thanks. Your input gives me more positivity about the subject because I was worried it would be super difficult and if people enjoy it than it shouldn't be too bad. :) I checked the units guide and I think there is probably an exam for human biology because it said "assessed: graded"...
I didn't do biology for year 11 or hsc.
I do find human biology interesting but I wanted more information on whether it is a manageable unit for a not very scientific person as I am studying an arts/ law degree and am starting at mac uni this year as a first year student
While I would...
I'm first-year so a lot of people/ planet units I potentially wanted to do aren't available to me as I don't have the credit point prerequisites like social marketing and sustainability, bioethics and biotechnology
I'm an arts/ law student and was wondering if anyone could suggest some...
Hi, I saw on your profile that you studied international business and was wondering if you could give some advice or insights into the course as I am a first year law/ arts student majoring in international relations and was considering international business as a minor if it would help broaden...
Hi,
I am an arts/ law student majoring in international relations and am also in the process of brainstorming possible minors.
I considered Economics because I have been told it is both a useful and important discipline to understand in our society today and can add value to your resume if...
I am primarily a humanities person and I have decided to major in international studies at Mac Uni.
I also want to minor in something and in the past week have begun to seriously consider international business as a minor if I don't minor in a language.
I just wanted to know a bit more about...
Hi,
I think my major will be politics or international relations and after doing a bit of research into the career paths of these majors, many sites and information I have read encourage the fluency of at least a second language. I have some background in learning French and considered...
Yeah, that was like me! I got an early offer but did not accept until main round offers came out, and mac uni wasn't even my first preference but I got it anyway and I have now been able to do my timetable. I think most people can make their timetable from the 22 Jan or so via estudent as I know...
Re: Can you have 2 arts degree majors if u are doing a combined arts/ law degree? Tha
So does that mean that if I wanted to do a people unit in human geography which can be studied in the arts degree I can't? Because I actually picked that as a people unit initially and my e-student timetable...
I'm first year so a bit lost with his. But do they record lectures because I have a few timetable clashes between elective units and a lecture I have is only available at a time when I have job commitment.
Also when choosing units what does it mean if a lecture says: ilecture recording...
I need 120 units to satisfy the combined degree of arts and law:
This includes a minimum of 72 credit points in the law degree
24 credit points to complete a major in arts
72+24=96 credit points altogether
This means I would have 24 units leftover, which I think means u could...
But as I was enrolling it said that I need to wait one business day before enrolling because I was doing a degree that required additional steps.
This is the message that came up:
ENROLMENT NAVIGATOR
Are you enrolling in one of the following programs?
Bachelor of Arts
Bachelor of Arts with...
For my degree which is combined arts/ law...
I need 120 credit points to satisfy the whole degree
I need 72 minimum credit points to satisfy my law degree
24 credit points to satisfy an arts major
That leaves 24 more credit points out of the 120 left to pursue other subjects I think. Does...
I am starting arts/ law this year in Feb 2016. After much fanfare and consideration I have finally narrowed the majors for my arts degree to these few:
International law and global governance
Public Policy, Law and Governance
Human Geography
Politics
International Relations
At this point in...
Hi,
Yeah, the cost put me off. I didn't realise it wasn't the paris campus, I was expecting it to be in the capital. Oh well :( . I think ultimately I'll stick with law, more direct and straightforward as I don't think I'm ready to move so far from home.
Thank you! :)
UNSW has an amaing law program and campus life. :)
14 hours altogether, that's quite good. I'll see how I go with my timetable, I know for me first years only do 1x law lecture and 1x law tutorial I think first semester. :D
I will be studying combined law and arts this year at either mac uni, usyd or uts. I just wanted to get an idea of the average amount of contact hours per week including all lectures, tutorials etc. so I know how I can manage and organise my time and commitments around it. Thanks
