i agree with utopia parkway, the stress is always going to be there. so don't change the system, change the way people deal with the hsc. it's not the system that's the main cause of suicide... yes, it does have significance, but it's usually a trigger to the stress that's been building up...

and smegthehead, south koreans do have only one exam for each subject all on one day, but unlike us, they have the option of studying for another year and doing their final exam again, so that they can get another chance to get into the uni they want. i still wouldn't :p

yeah, same, except for the whole kicking out of home thing :) they told me i'd have to support myself though if i got less than 90 and wanted to go to uni. hope you got over 90 ur_inner_child :)

yeah. the competition is really fierce so all the kids study like crazy apparently. i have a friend in korea and apparently she doesn't get home unil 2 am because she goes to cram schools and stuff. lol, i would never be able to do that. thank god i live in australia :D

haha, yes, that also applies to the people who get accepted into actuarial studies course :) we have to wait until january to get the offers, don't we? a little eager dreamcaster :p

yeah, we had our year coordinator give us "a talk" too, but half our centre for 1 unit started leaving as soon as we could anyways :) it was compulsory and it was the last exam for most of us so we just walked out

i thought i wouldn't need the 1 unit religion until my maths exam on wednesday, and i only do 11 units (silly me dropped physics...) so i'm hoping i get good in this one... even though i walked out of the exam early :p
