o.k. the average of all scaling is 25, as the highest and best subjects as as ancient latin and 4u maths are over 40, and poor subjects such as arabic and studies and religion are around 20 and less.

My definition of good is as higher than the average 25 as possible...legal isn't that good, its about 26.something but at least its not as bad as friggin business which is 24.something. So wait, in business for example i have to come top 30% in the state to get what if i get 95 and come 3rd...

I don't think they should change the requirements becuse if they do then there will be no balance with advance english students, because then heaps more of them will get band 6, which means better marks, better UAIs...and then all the other students that don't do advance will get disadvantaged...

The reason that the BOS doesn't hand out band 6 in Standard is simply because the students in standard english are statistically the worse students...i don't want to step on any toes but it is obvious that people who go to standard english are those who are doing Stnadrad either aren't smart...

I don't think it scales you down if you do really good and at a good rank. It's not as worse as standard english tho...and i can't do well in advance i know that for sure...so i'm left with ESL

That's coz i'm new in Australia mate, less than 15 months...but i study hard... about the UAI i'm very sure that USyd is 99.60 and UNSW is 99.75 coz i checked it thoroughly! "if you wanna touch the skies, aim for the stars"...

General Maths and Standard English will get you nowhere unless you go really really really good meaning rank 1 and mark over 95

no subject will get you UAI over 90 if you get 50/60/70 in it. I know someone from who did his HSC last year in a differnt school than mine, he got UAI of 98.something, his lowest mark was 82 (in russian) and he got over 90 in both 3U and 4U maths...that goes to show you that if you're aiming...

if you wanna get over 95 you can't get less than 80 in any subject whatsoever...simple enough....and obviously after that the better you go in eng and 3U & 4U maths the better... you got good subjects there
