I always thought my cohort ('09) was so much smarter than my school's 2010 cohort. Ended up being mistaken.....

Also, IQ and HSC have very little correlation. I'm willing to bet that my IQ is shit.

HSC is much more about hard work. I'm not very smart, but I worked hard. That's why I did well in the HSC, and am not doing so well in uni. Hours, not many. After school maybe 1-2 hours a night. Weekends, maybe 2-3. Obviously, a lot more towards key points in the HSC journey, exams...

It's for prospective students just before preferences for main-round offers are locked in. It's for any or all students who are still vacillating, just want more information, or for the unis to tempt you into choosing them; just before it's too late to choose.

If the information you have provided is true, I believe that this would be a rare occurrence where the BoS has made a mistake. I would advise you to do what cem said above. :) Good luck

No, it doesn't. There is really very little correlation between the SC and the HSC. Kids really don't give a shit in the SC. It's not an indicator of anything, other than how much someone cared in Year 10.

I believe it's a waste of money. Personal opinion, others will claim different.

Whilst it is acceptable that you may not know what this means, it surprises me that a principal doesn't.

These are really arbitrary figures - everyone needs different amounts of study to get X ATAR.
