It's my understanding that each school covers the topics in the syllabus in a different order to one another. Like, some people may have done law this year, others would have done it last year. So, the topics included in every school's yearly examination is gonna be different.

How does that work though? All the subjects we do this year, bar Maths and English aren't even yr11 subjects. Our school only looks at SC results if you wanna do Adv. English or Ext. English, which is understandable, so I'm only motivated to do well in the English exam.

A friend of mine did really well in IPT last year... got 90, and got into her business course at uni no problem.

Thanks for the words of advice everyone, I listen to everything my English teacher tells me and adapt it to my successive pieces of writing, except I'm just not getting anywhere. I have never gotten over 13/15. :mad: Hopefully things will improve eventually.

There's no SC exam for PD, so I don't think you'd find it online...

haha I know how you feel, my birthday is on the 5th. Even if you do bad (which I'm sure you won't), what does it matter anyway? It's got absolutely no relevance to next year. Don't worry too much. :)

One of my biggest problems with English is the amount of detail I right in my essays. Who else gets this: when you discuss your response in plenty of detail, you get told you're rambling too much, however when you write in less detail, you get told it's not enough. This has got to be one of my...

We have History 3 periods a fortnight and Geography 4 (although it was the other way round in year 9.), which sucks because I love History way more.

Well, I know someone who had spent so long on all the previous multiple choice questions in an English exam, she only had 30 seconds left for about 10 more. She filled in any bubble and got all of them wrong. Yeah, that someone was me. :D
