    Integration Formula Question

You could use hyperbolic functions. The standard integrals for them are easy to remember.... :P

    Extension 2 CSSA Trial Expectation

65-70% in Ext 2 would probably constitute a low E4.

    Who's gonna do 4u?

Is that like the Lagrange multipliers?

Need help with Splitting Partial Fractions involving cubic denominators

NB: Repeated factors for partial fractions are not in the HSC course. Although they can ask something similar. eg. giving you the form of the partial fractions and asking you to find the unknown coeffs.

    Integration Question

I prefer the substitution x=1/u for these types of problems... But that's just me.

    Is Mathematics hard?

I think that's quite a standard question. I've seen it around in trials etc. Most likely the CSSA ones...

    Who's gonna do 4u?

They do some HSC topics in their prelim course, by looking at a lot of their past exams... Not sure if they substitute the topics though (ie. swap some prelim and HSC courses around).
  8. C

    Who's gonna do 4u?

Yes they can, aslong as they've fully finished the prelim course.
  9. C

    Who's gonna do 4u?

You're not breaking the law by starting the HSC course bit earlier. Aslong as your school has finished the prelim course then there's no problem.

how much harder is 3 unit than 2 unit

In 3 unit you do more topics. In my opinion it's not THAT much harder. It literally is an extension of the work you do in 2U. And yes you need to be good with your algebra.

What can I tutor (MATHS) in NSW (ACT)?

That means that you haven't done Conics, Mechanics, Volumes and Harder 3U...

Worked Solution for Cambridge Ext 2 book?

That's actually not quite correct. The probability of getting all 10 questions correct is something like (1/4)^10 ...

    Integration Anomaly

If you had limits then you could also use complex analysis methods (not in the scope of the current HSC course).

    Mechanics Help

As Trebla said they don't ask harder projectile motion much.

Need help with Splitting Partial Fractions involving cubic denominators

    A/(x-2) + B/(x+2) + C/(x+2)^2 + D/(x+2)^3

    Maths problem..

    This guy speaks the truth.

    Best book for mechanics

Coroneos 4U supplement has the best questions for mechanics. They take questions from there for the HSC exam. Apparently Patel is good for mechanics too...

Does anyone have 3unit fitzpatrick solutions to chapter 25??????

Yeah I have them. It's by the same authors as the 4U solution authors. They're a pain to scan though.

    Roots of multiplicity - Polynomials

    It's still wrong...
