    Aos - English

Coleridge isn't bad, but he's a bit tame - pretty descriptions and rather refreshing - compared to the other romantic poets. Give me Wordsworth or Byron anyday. Um, Yeah. We're doing him in class too.

    How many units?

I'm starting 13 next term, have been doing 14 for prelim year (with one accerlerated course) and hopefully will be accepted into a distinction course boosting me to 15. Whilst I might be forced to drop some units due to fatigue, I have to say that I'm doing these subjects because I want to...

    advice for incoming Yr 12

Don't listen to people that tell you to have a balanced lifestyle. They're lying; it can't be done. Remember: study, study, study. And if you are admitted to hospital due to fatigue, take your textbooks. (:D) Seriously though...relax and try to enjoy the ride. That's what I'm going...

    stress in exams

Nothing beats confidence. ;) But I've heard of strange methods utilising visualisation and vocalising positive reinforcement, breathing techniques to get oxygen into your lungs (that just makes me yawn) etc. Actually, if you're obsessive/compulsive (like so many of my friends) arranging...

    uni courses

Much too expensive - I'd never forgive myself for making my parents shell out so much money for my own incompetence. And anyway, at the risk of sounding arrogant, I believe I can get the required UAI without too much pain - I just don't like it very much. :D

Do ppl like the texts for 2004?

I don't know what my texts for next year are - however I have been handed a booklet of Colderidge poems for 'holiday browsing'. And to answer the question, I like it just fine.

    You studying in holidays?

I'm rather work in class and enjoy my holidays, than vice versa. That said however - a truly dedicated student would both work in class and the holidays. A balanced student would also find time to have fun. Which is why I am definitely not either. :(

    uni courses

BA/LLB at USyd. (I hate the cut-off so much, I refuse to type it. That, and most people know it. :D) I love the university campus. A shallow reason for choosing it over UNSW, but...;)

Did anyone make it in the National art school?

I'm going this year, for the painting course. And now I'm really nervous because I always feel I'm good at art by default and am wondering just how out of my depth I will appear in the extension course. But of course - there's a couple of hundred kids going, they can't all be gifted geniuses...

    Year 11 is Over

Well, I'm prepared to be struck down by lightning, however I'm looking forward to starting Year 12. Might as well get it over and done with - Year 11 has been extremely boring. (AND I can't wait to start my V.A BOW.) Ok ok. I admit this enthusiasm is going to wear off - In like, two...
