    What subjects are you doing?

The other's are IT, SDD and Music, which are actually taken as elective during year 9 and 10 ie. those who elect to do them have to sit HSC exams for their subject(s) in year 10.

    What subjects are you doing?

it's one of our very few accelerated subjects - so that's the only benefit i can see from doing Ag. :D

    What subjects are you doing?

It's only compulsory yr. 7 to 10. I was in year 7 or 8 when compulsory Ag in year 11 was cancelled. However, you do the prelims in year 10. If you were to enter in yr 11 and start Ag, you would need to take classes with the grade below.

If you mean Ruse, Agriculture isn't compulsory in Year 11.

    Naturally smart

I find this whole topic vaguely amusing. Personally, I never really bothered to work much in my junior years - studying was definitely a foreign concept, along with homework. The fact that I was still doing pretty well doesn't make me 'naturally smart'. If anything, it makes me 'naturally...

people doing ext his and 4unit english

I've got a fairly solid idea for Extn 2 english - the only problem is that it keeps changing a bit. I'm completely clueless about History Extn, although I might decide to undertake an investigation of the Building of Rome through myth - the whole Remus and Romulus thing. Very very vague...

    What subjects are you doing?

well...they do that at our school too. In year 9, I watched my Ag teacher stick her arm into the cow to artificially inseminate it. That wasn't the worst bit - the worst bit was when the cow decided to 'relieve' itself while she was at it. That poor, soiled glove she wore. This year, some...

How many Yr12 art students in your school

year 12 2004 at my school has all of 7. out 172 or so. as you can see, it's a popular subject.

    my major work!

I'm curious what makes the viva voce so difficult? Is it because the teachers can tell that you're lying your ass off about the supposed work you've done, or because they ask probing and tangential questions that leave you baffled - then marking you down for your lack of preparation/elocution...

Can we plaster our journals with possibly irrelevant, but highly inspirational material?

HSC Advice Line- How much historiography?

probably not a safe route to take - it is a much better idea to use well-established and published opinions, otherwise, you could simply make up your own quotes and attribute them to any random person. also, history essays are testing your in-depth knowledge of personalities and events, not your...

    Yearlies

Hey, these results that are being posted up - are these raw marks or are they the marks on your report card (which I assume have been scaled to suit the school's bell curve)?

    whats it like>

and another curious question, why does it seem like no one on this board does the asia pacific conflict? other than that, i can't wait to start hsc mod. can a current year 12 please re-affirm my nascent enthusiasm before the actual experience of the hsc kills it off?

    The perfect score: 100

Your words might have several layers in meaning, but I'm comprehending zilch. Unless, you're asking how anyone can be simultaneously adept at maths and english? Because I don't actually know the answer to that (will this be a nature vs. nurture argument?) but I do know quite a few people who...

How do you file your notes?

The bedroom floor has to be useful for something... // Individual folders for every subject, notes in the front section, syallabus and handouts in the middle and then finally assessments and reviews at the back. Notes are divided into class notes and study notes. Large folder for school...

    What subjects are you doing?

Agriculture - the fringe benefit of attending an agricultural high school. All those junior years spent weeding plots and chasing sheep has to be good for something.

As if I'd buy them NOW - that would be falling behind. I purchased everything in year 10.

    National Studies HISTORIOGRAPHY

actually, I do believe modern history can be about personal opinions, as long as you support your views with facts, historical data and quotes from historians (even better - give a brief acknowledgement of the shortcomings in your sources). following the textbook can be so boring and generic...

    Raw Mark For Band 5

There's no point in calculating marks like this, so I agree with poowee's sentiment if not their words. Just do your best in the exam - knowing the raw mark necessary for band 5 won't get you anywhere, but studying and practicing answering essay questions will. Forget your relative marks and...
