    BAcc 2014 Intake

Emphasis is that it's spread over the three years. That being said it's a great program especially if you aren't sure what you want to specialise in or commit to within the broader accounting/business fields.

PwC fast tracking grads to managers

Out of interest, what makes you say that? I have my own views on this topic but will refrain from elaborating too much; all I can say is that the focus is on jaws, and in an environment of increased pressure on fees, only the innovative can survive.

    Cadetships 2013 thread

Most large and mid-tiers offer some kind of CA support but it definitely varies significantly between firms/companies/etc. For example, some large organisations employ external tutors to help facilitate extra coaching as well as out of hours support for CA studies, whilst others use their own...

    Cadetships 2013 thread

The key thing to remember with a cadetship is it accelerates your career progression. When your friends are joining at graduate level or 1 year experience, you'll be a senior associate. You'll get your CA qualification faster too. If you compare with people who do Comm/Law and end up doing a...

    Cadetships 2013 thread

In all seriousness you're applying for a cadetship. Do you want people to be answering this stuff from the perspective of a cadet or someone down the track? Also note the salary range you quoted is nearly double what cadets/trainees would actually be paid I hope you realise. $50k-$60k is more...

    1. You can google the difference between assurance/audit and advisory/consulting/transaction services. 2. One is much more financial/accounting focussed than the other. 3. People have moved from assurance or TS into various banking roles but you need to know what you actually are interested...

sounds about right- i'm guessing it's either ur official estimate or what u realistically expect to achieve. it doesn't matter if it's not accurate though because if u don't make it into relevant course at uni, cadetships/traineeships are automatically rescinded.

The recruiters know you don't have your report yet and the applications are only open for a limited time (i.e. they close before you get your report). They'll just ask for your most recent ones.

    Cadetships 2013 thread

In my experience, mid-tiers pay better than big 4 at the junior levels (i.e. cadet through to grad). For example, back in my day, I was on $34k in my 2nd year as a cadet whereas my peers in Moore Stephens were on $38k. ($4k isn't much but as a % it is) That being said, once you get to say...
