Depending on length of space available or question value, I would say that's a good answer- but there's room for examples. I personally would write the internet is useful for things where the target audience includes people from a broad spectrum such as newspapers or weather reports. Contrasting...

I was writing non-stop right until the last second. IIRC I wrote more than 50 pages... and got 99% overall. There's always more you can write. My approach was always- don't just answer the question, answer it in a way that if someone asked you that question, they would understand the answer.

LOL i remember doing that question and writing both the technical definition, a more practical definition (ie. easier to understand), and examples of protocols.

From memory, the ACID test isn't taught in every school and when I rung up the HSC contact/help line last year, they told me it probably wouldn't be in it- not to say that it won't be in it though!

I personally always read the longer questions first- ie. the scenario ones. This way when I read through MCs, it gives me ideas for what else I can include in the scenario. Whilst you could use reading time just to blitz through the MCs... I think, just like English, it's good to read the longer...

Sorry I haven't got much time on me but as a suggestion, some of you guys are giving very short answers which IMO, don't do the question justice. Not going into specifics, if it helps, when asked a question try to include a definition, and to further reinforce it (and to get the full marks)...

Yeh it was weird. My school stopped offering it yet most people got band sixes, and for such a small class, it was amazing that a few of us got >95. Certainly pulled my UAI up.

I've seen questions in the past where you've had to calculate it. Let me just say this- you guys are really on the ball for this IPT exam :) Even I can't remember if I was this "into" it.

My one was pretty easy/straightforward in terms of question difficulty/requiring you to remember syllabus.... so I'd say your one is going to be hard! It all comes down to preference really. I prefer questions which require out-of-the-syllabus thinking.
