    answers to 1004 hsc papers

I bought the SuccessOne Past Papers book- they have really detailed answers and I modelled my writing style in answering questions on theirs. I am inclined to think if it wasn't for that book, I wouldn't have known the quality of responses which I'd need in order to get a high mark. It really...

HSC summary for chapter 6 for heinemann

Check the BoS resources. Seriously, you won't learn anything reading other peoples' summaries unless you did the work beforehand.

    my PINK car! :D

LOL I think you're easily amused. Take a new photo with the P plate inside. IMO it looks considerably better when the P plate is positioned inside the window. Don't forget to keep your car nice and clean! Wouldn't want that pink to come off looking tarnished after rain/dirt/etc... Cheers...

Nah, I knew Viv/Alice from my year. Hope your stocking doesn't rip :) I'm sure you'll find a way to cover it up if it does...

    general UNSW chit-chat

I also think... whilst it sucks for him, the money which we pay is not to subsidize international students. If he wants he can go run his own little charity event and hope to get donations- I'd donate; but I wouldn't want the union using my union fees to pay for something like this. Besides, it...

    Are cover letters a necessity?

I'd say it's better to have one than to not have one. Even if it's a very short blurb or bit of crap introducing yourself; it sounds better than just shoving your resume in the hands of the manager. Besides, what harm can it do to include a generic cover letter?

what are the big 4? or the big 3? - meh how many are there?

I just had to bump this thread after reading your post smorter... So... what's your connection to Anderson? I mean, they still exist in a way... the people still live on, many of them still working together at EY or KM... What you said is true though; it's all because of the tarnished name.

    Ernst & Young

We really should start a PwC thread next time.

    Ernst & Young

If you're talking abt PwC then I'm not sure what the "informal morning session" is. For my year (ie. 2005) we had an "Information Evening" on a Thursday night (about a week and a day after apps were due) where they told us about the firm, had a few speeches, informed us about the different...

    Accounting Cadetship Queries :)

Undergraduate Consultant is what my card says :) As pointed out, cadetships are usually only offered to HSC students, with a select few firms offering them to first year (EY being the only Big4 which does it regularly I believe?). Apart from this you're better off looking at vacation work if...

    Cadetships!

They are like school shoes... they aren't exactly super comfy, but they usually fit quite alright and after being worn in a little bit become quite alright to wear. Have fun hobbling around at your interviews. Hope you don't trip :) Judging by your msn personal message...

    QMA aye.

volition- I think I misread the question. >< Can't find my sheet but I remember in the exam I drew out a little diagram with the costs of each plant to Melb/Adel. I attended your PASS class once and learnt that funky differentiation.

    Cadetships!

LOL... yes it does make you feel special leaving school a period early :P I personally left at lunch just to give myself a nice buffer of time to grab something to eat before heading out to the interview. How are we lucky? Girls business attire is considerably more affordable than menswear...

Window Tinting- any good places in Sydney, Hills preferably.

Sounds good. I'm planning on getting 35% on the front, and 30% all round the rest. Today the sun was shining from behind and I never realised how useless your mirrors can become when the sun is behind ya.

    my PINK car! :D

Yep get the inside ones. Heaps better. I was worried about them damaging the paint on my Civic so I got a pair from Autojoy. Shouldn't cost you more than $4 (or approx. 0.05% of the cost of your paint job).

    accounintg firms- cadetships

Haha Korda Mentha... is Mikey into insolvency and ex-Andersons? Well, I will look forward to meeting whoever is the BAcc who joins us at PwC :) I met this chick at the ICAA evening... can't remember who she was (she's one of the BAcc ppl) and she said she knew me... and I really can't...

    Cadetships!

Haha I was lucky that I had a friend who lived near my school- I left my suit at his place so that I could quickly get changed after school and catch direct bus to the city. As for the rejection letters/calls... yeh, if you don't get one within a few days after everyone else does- don't hold...
