I agree, neafoo. The only reason Dragonforce are so hated by so many people is because they're so popular.. And the reason they're so popular is because they're actually genuinely amazingly talented! Even non-metalheads can get into it just watching the videos. And if you've seen them perform, they're even more likeable.

so i find myself slowly getting into more and more metal. i think its a good thing... i guess its just the natural progression from hardcore to metal core and now im really liking all the metal bands my friends have suggested to me

If anyone likes Death, they should really check out Cynic, if they haven't already. Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert, who both played on Human, were members of Cynic. They have some fucking top notch jazz-influenced death metal, emphasis on the jazz.
