Close the gap, it's all about leverageI'm 94kg and my mate who plays soccer beat me in an arm wrestle. I may as well concede
quik, what is a better buy out of a GHR, 45 degree hyper extension and a regular hyperextension?Close the gap, it's all about leverage
I would go the GHR, it is next on my to buy listquik, what is a better buy out of a GHR, 45 degree hyper extension and a regular hyperextension?
I struggle to tell the difference between a glute ham raise and a hyper extension sometimes...
Cool, I'm getting one down the line.I would go the GHR, it is next on my to buy list
GHR are amazing for hamstrings, omg
The difference is basically the pivot point, GHR you pivot at the knee and hyperextensions at the hip/pelvis and mainly works lower back
I'll test them both out one day.Yeah I would probably go the flat (90 deg) for the same reasons
If you haven't used both may as well just to make sure there isn't some crippling comfort issue due to posture on one or the other, but apart from that the equipment that gives me more options would be my choice every time
I don't like owning a heap of things, the amount of useless shit in most gyms is incredible.Yeah can't wait for my own place... gym shit will be everywhereeee
Edit: I have done like 15 sets of overhead presses and numerous of other things, tomorrow will be interesting
yuck, splits. The only program I have ever used was one from animalpak.com when I started
Even then I basically just used the rep scheme
Should probably give a program a try sometime
pretty much the exact same.I went from low 70s to 97kg
Squat was 170? I think
Deadlift 180
Bench I never went too hard cos no safety bars or spotters
In a period of about 6-8months
I largely think lifting hard > thinking hard about lifting
sames. when exams come everything gets dropped, its really frustrating but there's nothing else I can do. I envy people with good time management.Yeah I've only recently started back up again tbh
Keep letting other stuff put lifting on the side
P happy to have my bench back @ 100 in a month though, and I'm focusing on 5x5 for mains
Goal is 95kg ~10-12%bf by christmas (currently 84)
stop making me agree with youYeh would be great if I could find someone to train with and keep me accountable but alas I live in opposite direction to everyone
Plus they are all skinny girly men tbh
Lone wolf aroo
Hmm, this is something I plan to do long term. Reality is there's never going to be someone there with me at 5am in my garage on a tuesday morning. I may as well get used to it.I would prefer the option of either/or
Lifting on my own is fine ~80% of the time
But there is definitely something to be said for a few like-minded people pumped and ready to tear shit up
Have only had one workout with someone who was on the same level mindset as me, he wasn't as strong but that didn't matter it was great
