If this is USYD, then they definitely won't give you 2 semesters. US is just too much in demand to give people 2 semesters.

I think I answered the atmosphere question there as well, but I'll say again that I like it (though I guess this is quite subjective). Regarding the buildings, once you're in engineering you have bigger problems to worry about than what the building looks like lol, so I wouldn't worry about that...

USYD has its own plane for aero students. I don't think it flies though... (but I could be wrong) lol yeah, and right across it you see the incredibly modern Law building. It's an interesting contrast.

I'm only in my 3rd year in a 5 year degree, but what I've noticed so far is that outside of the specific maths subjects that we're required to take, the maths in actual mech engineering subjects (like fluids, thermo, statics, etc.) is quite straightforward. I'm guessing it'll start to step up...

There are so many problems with this. If the point of school is to learn, and you believe in God, then scripture classes are far from "the biggest waste of time in school", as it is literally doing what a school is meant to do; educate. Groups and organisations can base themselves around...

I think the facilities for engo are more modern at UNSW. Regarding which uni has more approachable lecturers, I don't think many people can say for sure what the answer to this is but I assume it's the same at both unis. I know at USYD at least most lecturers are more than happy to talk to you...
