When it all ends...what's everyone thinking of doing for muckup day?

Well, it's only famous within my school. It was either the Class of '08 or '09 who did it but they were there over night and they put chairs on staircases and string in front of building's doors, so there was only one exit, padlocked the school hall with a different lock than what they usually...

When it all ends...what's everyone thinking of doing for muckup day?

My school banned it because of the famous Muck Up Day of 2008/9.

    How's everyone coping?

Absolute shit. The teacher is wasting my time to the point where I have to make a body of work in three weeks for this assessment worth 25-30%. Fucking great, top job.

I assume you don't do a language right? If you don't know how hard Japanese Continuers is, do a past paper for me and I want to see you get 100%. Both of my exams are three hours as well. There was a past student who only had 10 min break between her exams due to special provisions and she did...

    Distance Education

Japanese Continuers - Open High School Hard because there is no physical teacher being there to teach you things and it's all about you being persistent, and all that crap. I don't get a lot of things and it's hard because my teacher there doesn't tell me why or how I'm getting things wrong -...

Letter of Consideration = Higher ATAR?

Your situation sounds quite similar to mine, to be frankly honest. But seriously get the Letter of Consideration, it'll help a lot!

    SAT or HSC?

HSC all the way. Actually, a Chinese International student did both the SATs and HSC cause she didn't know if she wanted to study in USA, Australia or China. I think she is studying in USA but I could be wrong. But unless if you are 100% planing to do SATs and got tons of money to attend a...

How do you rate your school?

Rank: 131 Teachers: You can tell which teachers are good on what they do and who aren't, so average and depends on which subject you do. Resources: Crap computers and internet system (this year, I lost how many times the system went down and/or people couldn't access the computers), average...

    HSC Language students

asoanese// I am not looking forward to Jap-c, where do you have to do your oral exams? I have to do mines at Parramatta but I have it on the same day as my last game of Hockey. >.<

Would you be allowed extra points for ATAR if you have family issues?

Yes you can. When I was in grade 7 and my sister was doing the HSC, my dad passed away and she was the last person to see him before he died and the first person who found him dead, she got extra 5 points or what not for her HSC. So it is possible.

    Who's BURNING out?

Most people in my grade have, and tiny bit of me.

I already found out my Japanese results - 38%. I am beyond feeling crap and one of the answers that I gave that my teacher said it was correct, turned out to "be wrong" even though my teacher said it was correct. Frustrates the hell out of me. I have to aim for at least 70% to be satisfied.

    Library

I occasionally go to my local library which is like 10-15 minute walk, but other than that my school library. I probably want to study at the State Library but not too keen on the 2hr train trip.

    HSC Language students

Thought it would help all language students by saying that the Board of Studies have released the oral examinations: http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/events/pdf_doc/hsc-languages-oral-timetable_12.pdf
