There's no such thing as a "positive" square root in complex numbers... :-) ie the square root symbol in reals implies the positive one, but there's no satisfactory way to imply positiveness in complex, so ppl just write both...

In my school it was more like "my name is turtle, so remember when you mark it to look REALLY hard for any silly mistakes I have, and also take an extra mark off because I use obscure working which i then have to wrestle back..." lol

While ppl are at it, I'm open for tutoring too :-) Yeah, I reckon I have good interpersonal skills too (hey, sorry but I feel slighted :-P)... but yeah, I'm doing mostly north shore and city, and I charge relatively high rates. So umm... not taking guy's business above, and no offence intended...

Forgot to take a compass into SC in 2000... had to make do with a piece of string from science :-) And a pacer.. figure out how did horribly in it though

3 unit... took me around 1 hr 35. The series question fooled me... had to use sigma notation everywhere with an algebra bash... sort of explains why they didn't give me first though :-) Come on, ingenuity must be worth something.. Oh. I forgot... this is the HSC after all.
