I've left early. Its okay if its a big lecture or you're near the exit. Probably not the best idea if its a 5 person lecture or you're sitting right up the front. Also, for one of my classes the distance between lecture halls was really far, and sometimes the previous lecture wouldn't finish at...

well u have to decide if you're doing actuarial or not. u have to choose. i'd follow the handbook over what people said, unless you asked the law coordinator people. But both might be okay.

i didn't take hsc physics either and i did phys1131. should be fine, i was worried about that too. anyway, not pressuring you to change it, and no its not advisable to do 18units and then 30 units thats just suicide. just do a random course as an elective or do a gen ed if theres no other option.

ok, well when u get your com/adv maths i dont think you'll have any free electives to do chem. and yeah u can do discrete later (don't even think its compulsary if u dont want to).

out of curiosity why are u doing chem? (why not say discrete maths, math1081) Also one of the SCIF lecture things is ONLY for week 1 (if u didn't notice). edit: comp1911 tutes aren't that bad imo contrary to what was said above. Maybe he/she had a bad tutor. I personally didn't go to any comp...

don't worry about choosing maths major. First years all the same. you'll have a glimpse at a bit of applied/pure/stats topics so you'll see what you like.

U can only have one major with advanced maths.

dont worry, not really any proofs. I won't lie, it won't be easy for you, but not impossible to do well. You'll have to work hard i think. But mainly just make sure you can do the basic questions for each topic and you should be okay. Don't stress too much before uni, they'll go through it...

doesn't really matter about the plan, its just suggested, as long as you can still finish all the same subjects they want you to do in first year, it'll be alright.

higher maths is harder, you learn a few extra things, and final exams are harder. If you enjoy maths and did 4 unit maths you should consider doing it. Dont worry too much about the marks because its harder because its scaled.

I think follow the handbook, the website could/might be old. And you'll only have to do 24 units a semester. So for first sem, i suggest you do, ACCT1501, COMP1911, INFS1602 or INFS1603, and MATH1131/41. Then 2nd sem, u do ACCT1511, COMP1921, the other infs, MATH1231/41 Hope that helps
