Yes, all the Engineering Studies students are getting robbed.. Seriously its got to be one of the subjects with the broadest syllabus out there.. Even after reading through 900 pages of TAFE notes there will surely be a question regarding something that wasn't mentioned.. FML!

Going through notes (written), checking through books (Excel, Copeland and 2 Schelcker) and doing past papers (mainly questions that involve calculations). I plan on writing some notes about heat treatment, moulding processes and a few other things I struggle to remember to try and make them...

Hey, Can anyone confirm wether knowledge of how to do 'Division of an interval in a given ratio' questions is required for a 2U student. I can't remember doing anything like it with my teacher however it is in my textbook.

Nope, our supervisors were quite lenient and even made jokes about my birthday being in the middle of the HSC while signing the blue sheet.. Although the guy got pretty angry when no-one wrote the text they were doing on the front.

Found it overall pretty good. Glad they didn't specify what speeches to do. Had plenty of time (especially compared to Paper 1 where I was still writing my conclusion with 30secs to go!).

Hey, I can't seem to find anywhere how to find the true length size from a picture. I remember something to do with making it parallel to the X-X axis (a property which will make it TL in the other view). Help please, this question can be used as an example.

If they are going to take marks, shouldn't it say under the how you will be assessed; - How well you right down the number of the image you have chosen. Seriously, if the exam paper doesn't say and nor does the supervisor, they can't just take marks... If they do they are theivin' bastards.

Was happy with CW and Essay. But those questions f%*#d me over. Had about 10mins to do Q4&5... and plus the supervisors took 10 years to realise I had my hand up most the time for more paper.

I am using a combination of the Rochford and Excel.. However as Aaron said, some books have better info than others. For example, I am using Schlencker's (or however you spell it) "Introduction to Materials" for some stuff on heat treatment etc.
