    Uni or Apprenticeship

TBH in my opinion Uni only gets you the money when your doing it for law, medicine or whatever. Teaching is underpaid and most people end up hating it so I'd go with the apprenticeship, as it pays more. But of course take into account what suits your abilities best and what you'd enjoy most.

    Best uni's for the following?

Wouldn't it make more of a difference as you can literally get into a degree even if you've failed your HSC, thus graduates from higher ranked uni's would be seen as more serious/valuable

    Commerce: UTS/Macquarie to USYD

yeah at least a distinction average to be competitive, to make it easier for you to get this I'd suggest going to UTS as Macquarie is known to have really difficult commerce final exams. BTW commerce at UNSW is just as good if not better than USYD and with 92 you could get in with up to 5 bonus...

Having a gap year - Do I apply now and defer?

It is definitely better to apply and defer so you know you definitely have a place in your course- because you never know atar for a course might jump substantially in just a year. Also if you change your mind during the year you can simply apply again, accept the offer the following year and...

People in the app fin/com-prof acc degree

    Transferring from UNSW to Macquarie

Did you mean if my ATAR wasn't enough? I read the Macquarie site and apparently if you've completed 6 months only of uni then they take whichever is higher ATAR or uni marks.

Transferring into applied finance/commerce- prof accounting

Yes I've done a semester, my ATAR was 89.15 do you think thats good enough? I read the site, it said that if only 6 months of uni study was completed they take whichever's higher atar or uni marks. I'm guessing they would consider my uni marks then?

    Transferring from UNSW to Macquarie

Done one semester at UNSW with a wam of 78 (distinction), and wish to defer this 2nd semester and apply for applied finance/prof accounting at Macquarie. Do you think my mark is competitive enough to get me in? Any experiences with external transfers and such would be helpful, thanks.

    Transfer into UTS Law?

its hard to say, but I think you'd have a chance with UTS law.. apply and find out
  14. D

    switching from commerce/economics to commerce/engineering

If you were to transfer internally then yes you'd have to have at least 75 WAM. But if you applied through UAC then UNSW will take whatever's higher your atar or uni marks- that is if you've only done 1 year, more than a year and its mostly uni marks taken into consideration.

How old is too old to stay in Uni?

    UTS business

Got a mid year offer for this course, still deciding whether to take it up.. Would there be any disadvantages starting and ending the degree mid year in terms of job opportunities? Also, is the degree considered reputable to Big 4 companies? Thanks.
