TUTOR - Equal First in the World. HSC & IB

Lol at everyone disputing the credibility of IB. IB destroys HSC in almost every single way. It's essentially university prep courses fitted into a high school diploma. It should actually scale up, rather than scale down. In fact, schools in America and England often take scores of 7 in IB...

    Opinions please :)

Why would you do eng/comm if you wanted to do med? You should've done B Health Sciences or BSc instead adnan91. Do Liberal Studies. Much greater depth of the degree.

    Gah!

Go Mac. Transfer in to UNSW.

    Hsc Marathon 2009 - Chemistry

...No wait. You're right. But I meant pure ethanol is anti-septic though. Ethanol mixtures are only anti-septic to yeast cells when >15% enthanol in the solution.

is Actuarial Studies really that boring??

Actuarial Studies does not concern home loans. It's complex probability that they have to do. It has the highest freshman dropout rate.(freshman= 1st year)

    Physicist Vs Engineer (Salary)

I'd say go for engineering and make physics your off-work passion. I.e: Do an engineering degree undergrad, work for a while as an engineer, build up some savings, then do post grad physics(phD, Masters wont take you into research very often) and then go into research.

Australian education system going down the toilet!

You can complain about any education in the world. High school education is stupid everywhere(except in Scandinavia; had a cousin who lived in Finland for a couple of years...WOW...they were learning stuff like Integration in Year 9..and at an average high school the average was 88%) . I just...

Rudd calls for era of "social capitalism"

Yeah...Rudd is not a revolutionary. Obama is not a revolutionary. Not going to happen.

    American university

You're pretty much spot on mate. But berkeley is a public university of Cal. They don't offer international need-blind clearance.

    Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Well, dreams for undergrad at MIT are almost gone fo you I guess; unless you're a 100UAI kinda person. For graduate study..well you can decide that.

    American university

I don't recall saying that you needed to have technical skills to get in to uni over there. You have misquoted me somewhere. You could not be more wrong. And datchik was wrong. You don't have to do all 3 sciences. It's just that Americans do not regard "Business Studies" and such as real...

    moving to usa

Boston is as close to New York as Melbourne is to Sydney. You're thinking of Princeton which is close to NY. And IVY LEAGUE does not signify quality of education. Loads of universities in America are better than Australia's; yet they're not Ivy League. I'd say do engineering in America if you...

    nanotechnology

Nanoengineering pays higher than nanoscience. After all; whoever applies it best, get the wad of cash.

    Engineering and UWS College

UWS ain't poop. It's fully accredited; and apparently, heaps of Ruse kids are going there next year since they have newly renovated facilities.

Bachelor of Pharmacy & Bachelor of Science?

When ever I go to the GP, it's the doctor that writes the amount of medication I need. I've never seen a pharmacist tell me how much I need....

    Hsc Marathon 2009 - Chemistry

Well ethanol is anti-septic, so it can kill the yeast.
  17. arjungamer123

    Hsc Marathon 2009 - Chemistry

That's pretty good. But it's better if you say "constant removal of ethanol" as a condition. In school, our fermentation took place in an aerobic environment.

    Engineering and UWS College

Wait...so is he calling an education at UWS a "credential"?! Alright mate; if you're too good for UWS, try and get DUX from that school?

    Engineering, second round

What musk said. Unlike, say, Law (which depends on prestige and a good school with an expnsive library), engineering is purely technical. In the end; it will depend on the effort that a student puts in at any uni.

    Engineering and UWS College

I have no idea what you just said. You switched tenses so much I'd swear it was Back to the Future Part IV.
