i'm doing hsc maths this year....haven't been given a photo id yet though.
have u got any websites/newspaper articles discussing it....i'd like to read about it and become "more informed".
:)
that's kinda harsh isn't it? (if it wasn't intended as a joke).
on the net (esp. bos forums), people "lazy type" like me and most of the time, it usually doesn't look gramatically correct
i guess u have to weigh two things:
1. it might be best to do one science...you never know if u experience a change in career interests + it's always good to have a diverse range of subjects (so as not to get bored and for the future)
2. it's not a prerequisite for the course u want to do + u...
s'ok.
i guess it does depend on the person though. some people work better under pressure, while others don't. for me personally...i'm generally organised, i don't usually leave assessments till the last minute, and so my stress levels are usually quite low. other guys, however, leave...
that's true.
but then again, if you're good at phys/chem/bio and business/eco. and u accelerate english or maths then there's no harm in doing it provided u can handle the work. for me, i'd say english and maths are the most laborious subjects (yr11 business is too, but it's more fun). so i'd...
60000+ students sitting the exam = ~200000 pieces of related materials - i don't think markers would check. even if there is something against it in the policies or guidelines of the hsc, they can't really prove u made it up.
so that's for people outside the uni?
and being accepted....are u automatically accepted if u go to the uni (i don't, but it'd be poor if u went to unsw or usyd and couldn't access their library)
interesting....never thought there were past preliminary papers available....nevertheless, i don't think i'll be paying $22 for one set of papers. probably just easier (and cheaper) to d/l them from bos.
but thanks for searching google...i haven't had a lot of time lately to do that kinda stuff.
serious?
have there actually been many cases of people sitting exams for other students?
when is the photo id system going to be implemented?
at my school, we're given a photo id which we generally have to use to borrow books etc. but i havent heard about an hsc id.
17!?!?!?!?!
i can do 15 units next year, but actually only physically do 13 (if i decide not to repeat ext 1 maths), which i guess is why so many james ruse guys do 15 units i.e. coz they accelerate and 2-4 units out of the way.
i'm not talking about the degree itself, or uni stuff.
i was referring to the actual jobs people do e.g managers/ceos etc. have the hearts of 70y.o.s coz of the stress...some 30yos have heart attacks already...!
can u actually borrow books from uni libraries and the state library?
coz i heard u need to be a member of another library and pay for an inter-library loan.
do u necessarily need to have an interest in a career in science?
i like chemistry and i liked science in yrs7-10 (not so much the physics topics though), but i don't think i'll be pursuing a career in science (as you'll see in my sig.)
* i didn't actually apply to go to the NYSF, but i'm...
i'm in y11 accelerating ext 1 maths...would someone like me be expected to know how to do those ext 2 questions? or do they become easier to do if ur actually doing ext 2?
is there any restriction on the medium of the related material u can use? i.e. u could use: poems, newspaper articles, magazines, plays, music lyrics, books, films, posters, even tv/newspaper advertisements...
u could do IPT is you're looking for a career in computers, although u may get bored doing two computer subjects. which of the sciences do u enjoy most? as for business studies...it is a practical subject in yr11 (u'd have to ask without wings about yr12 coz i haven't done it yet). economics is...
