i downloaded the trial from the resources section, but the solutions seem to be for the 2U 1998 trial. i really want to see what mark i got coz i feel like i did ok....first 3U trial i've done. does anyone know any other place where i can find the solutions for the cssa trials?

fitzpatrick is good. but u need cambridge to supplement it - they go pretty well together coz they both have difficult questions and pretty good explanations. only problem with cambridge is that u probably have to buy both books coz some of the hsc stuff is in the yr11 book.

where do u find out about all these courses? i've never heard of them, but they sound pretty interesting. where do u attend class... etc?

there's a simple quadratic formula. but just for interest, is there a simple cubic/quartic formula? i think i search for a cubic one and it was huge! too much to remember....it was like sqrt of a sqrt of a cube root.....lol dunno about quartics though.

i'm only in yr11 right now and i'm finding chemistry pretty good. but is there a large "step up" to yr12 chemistry from yr11 in relation to difficulty? coz i was flicking through an hsc chem. book and it looked extremely confusing :confused: with a lot of subjects, u can read ahead, but with...

do u have an idea of the average in ur classes and/or the highest mark in each of ur classes? it might give a better indication of ur current uai prospects :)

do we need to have a knowledge of limits other than sinx/x for the hsc exam?

yea. that was what i was referring to earlier on i.e. whether its necessary to use the substitution. at least i know now that it's a necessity.

we weren't allowed to do that coz apocalypse now is R18+ :)

btw. when u draw it, shift the axis and not the graph....generally makes things easier.

depends if ur confident in the remaining 11 units u do keep. if u think that u might do well in only 9 of those units, then keep the extra unit for security. however, if u really think that ext maths/ext english is a waste of time then drop it, coz it will only slow u down unless u do well in it.
