LOL it's not intended as a way to impress or pick up the chicks- merely an observation that "fast cars" really only impress boys. Don't let Tokyo Drift fool you.
On another note though, I wonder when the new Yaris will come out considering this one has been out for a while. I love the interior and how much storage space/area the car has. It also has a very satisfying thud when you shut the door!
haha.. I was at Maccas last night and parked next to my mate's 05 STI (ej20i not the 25!) in mint condition. A few couples walked past... it was always the guys who checked out the cars :(
Bumping a very old thread but I still wish we could personalise 7 letter plates... and damn they are expensive p/a! My friend got one when he was a kid (before he had a car) with his name and has kept it since!
Hmm I suppose once you get in the >$100k category you're looking at money for brand appeal and other factors... I personally think that the best price point is when you get normal cars but up-specced with better engines/chassis/performance/etc. You get all the benefits of a volume produced car...
LOL look at every Mazda car now... I think they've all been facelifted to have some sort of face (mx5, rx8, mazda6, mazda3, mazda2, etc)... On one hand it's good they have some brand recognition, but then... I don't know if I'd want that!
rational choice.
that being said, i'm also a pretty big fan of the mazda2 and found them to be pretty peppy and fun to drive. alternatively if u wait for driveaway deals, u can get a cj lancer or honda civic for roughly the 20k-21k mark.
You don't rate the Golf GTI?
(that being said, now that Golf R pricing has been announced at sub $50k for the manual, I'd also consider going down that route)
Gotta love the GFC :) Every dealer had heaps of stock of every car... and if you rock up saying you have cash and don't need financing, suddenly you are a viable way to help them move their stock.
