    2009 HSC School Rankings

Wooo go Baulko again :) On another note, I thought the media wasn't permitted to publish comparisons of schools anymore... *shrugs* Bit late now.

You saying you hit a pole or something?

What car will you get as your first car?

Have you ever considered that maybe some people just use proper English more often than you do? And there are some people on here who aren't bogans? Meh go have fun with your Falcon and supercharged Camry overtaking 1.8L cars on the highway. Whatever floats your boat. I'm still in shock at how...

    Fuel Consumption

I also find that accelerating moderately to the typical driving speeds (i.e. speed limits around 70km/h) and then leaving it on cruise control to be the most fuel efficient. Obviously other things like cancelling cruise control when approaching a hill (e.g. the bridge on Victoria Rd to the city)...

how fast can you type? how did you learn?

I went to a small (and not very good) private school in Beecroft for primary and whilst they didn't teach me much, the one thing I did learn was to touch type. The teacher when I was in year 3 (this would've been 1996) made us do all the Q-A-D, W-S-X, etc... and then dictation typing tests)...

    An AMG will suffice :)

What car will you get as your first car?

Good to see I'm not the only one who saw the point of this thread :) ps. skyline, if you really want to compare your family's awesome cars and whether I can "match that" (as you put it), feel free to PM me again. I suggest you read some of my previous threads on this board first though.

    Frequent Flyer Programs

Forgot another great thing you can do... DOUBLE DIP. Some merchants accept QF cards to earn double points or whatever just by spending there... but if you also happen to use a credit card linked to a scheme, you can get heaps more points. I know it sounds cheap/lame but hey, it's a benefit...

What car will you get as your first car?

I consider myself an enthusiast but the difference between you and me is I don't talk big on internet forums and look down on other peoples' cars. I see it as an opportunity to improve one's ability if you are driving a car which is disadvantaged in some way compared to others. An enthusiast...

    Fuel Consumption

They're only good once you've got the momentum going. It's amazing how little petrol a small lightweight Getz or Micra uses in comparison.

    KPMG Cadetship or UNSW COOP?

    Worth a massive LOL.

What car will you get as your first car?

Yeh I'd go for the Celica too. But that being said, Proton's usually have "Lotus tuned suspension" (haha.. we laugh now but the car is surprisingly not too bad at high speeds for... a Proton).

What car will you get as your first car?

Did you totally miss the point of this thread titled "What car will you get as your first car?" That being said, and despite what I PM'd you, I learnt alot from driving underpowered cars with poor chassis. If you grew up on a high powered car where you always had the ability to overtake with...

What car will you get as your first car?

what a rant... u work for mazda or do u just have a lot of pride in ur mps3 or something lol. unfortunately this is a bit off topic since not ideal as first cars for p platers?? neither is the WRX or STi. interestingly and i'm not a fan of either, the WRX got bang for ur buck champion. maybe it...

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

I'm of the school of thought that laws are implemented to provide guidance and give instructions where common sense or natural conduct may not prevail. e.g. Without a 'right of way' then who's to say who should go first at an intersection.

ITT: The training we have taken to be safer on the roads.

Haha I think I'll pass on trying this even in my Civic... it may be FWD but last thing I want is a Maccas tray slipping up and knocking off my bodykit or something.

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

Fair enough. I guess better education of drivers would be a good idea. As for the flipping the bird, I still reckon that's unnecessary from any drivers.

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

Mind you I live in the Sydney CBD and when it's peak hour, people start to do crazy things just to get home 5 minutes earlier (or to make it to work on time). I can't quite comprehend how they as a bike rider can risk their life for such a thing... and flicking off someone else in a much bigger...

ITT: The training we have taken to be safer on the roads.

Are you sure there are no other risks or implications of doing this? I'm going through my head and wondering if doing such a thing could damage my tyres or other parts of the AWD system. *shrugs*

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

It's been very tempting to overtake and then slam my foot on the brakes to see how they like that. Seriously though as a bike rider, are you not worried one day you will come across someone who can't control themselves and ends up ramming you? Car vs. Bike... Car surely will win. I'm talking on...
