    PriceWaterhouseCoopers

A few of my friends are on Sandwich (from various levels of cadetship)- I think you just need to talk to your SDP about this? As for FA:PCS- I think they start in July because some of them started with me; but then, can't really say for sure since PCS is a new division as the result of the...

    newest salary survey

Interesting... my thoughts so far; 1. I like my gym membership subsidy! Although cash is obviously preferred, I'm inclined to think if they paid cash, it'd be less than the subsidy and discounted corporate gym membership at Fitness First... so in that case, I prefer the subsidy! 2. The...

    Options for Economics Students

I reckon if you can land a good graduate position, I'd take that and then work my way through CA/CPA. After all, once you get CA/CPA; honours in Accounting or whatever doesn't really mean that much.

    Why..?

It sounds like he's promoting it :)... but I agree with him in the sense if you enjoy Commerce, you'll probably enjoy working in the Commerce field. Duh! Don't quite see how it sounds like a 16 year old though~

    Double Undergraduate Degrees

Obviously! jkjk. But the reality is, an employer needs to be able to differentiate itself from others- and this can come in the form of training it's employees to a greater degree of specialisation or knowledge. Whilst not officially recognised or mentioned, having work experience on your...

    PriceWaterhouseCoopers

Doesn't BA start in July for PwC anyway? You'll have to ask some of those questions to your HR contact. Congrats on the offer btw :) Oh and sandwich is instead of doing 2+2 (2 years FT, 2 years PT), you mix them together. PT, FT, PT, FT, etc...

    Uni travel times??

1 hour busride to city, then 20mins to UNSW from Elizabeth St. However, the buses never coincide :( At least now I work in the city so it's only 20mins from work. But it still takes me an hour to get to work!

    Why..?

I reckon if you're genuinely interested in it, you'll enjoy it. Simple as that.

Non-math orientated Com, hopefully not an oxymoron

Accounting and Economics have very basic maths and algebraic equations.. ... what's hard will be QMA where you need to use your algebra, calculus, diff/integration, and then learn new ways to do those, matrices, sequence and series, etc... and there's no Table of Integrals! But on the upside...

    Cadetships!

Of course not. But then if you were a 1st year trainee, would you want to have such a responsibility? What you said is true in regards to what audit involves; but IMO I don't think it's too bad. I actually get a *gasp* thrill out of finding mistakes!

I personally would give them a call. If it's been 3 weeks... they might've just misplaced your email or details.

    Cadetships!

    1) Some people don't do it for the money- in the scheme of things; <$30k is not much for a full time 9-5 job; people do it for both the promotional opportunities and the experience. Once you graduate, you're already on a higher salary than normal grads; and this continues throughout the rest of...

    Ernst & Young

Not sure about post-grad law specifically, but most companies/firms out there tend to be in support of their employees continuing their studies as it not only improves the people, but it also improves the firm. At the end of the two years, the firm will determine whether to offer you the...
