    'Exciting' cars for under $20k

In hindsight if I hadn't bought the Evo or the Benz, I would've had a much more awesome deposit for an apartment but hey, it all works out in the end.

    Direction in life ??!

What are you studying at uni, how do you find it, and what attracted you to choose it in the first place?

    'Exciting' cars for under $20k

I see 'exciting' as the criteria. Doesn't necessarily mean awesome acceleration or go-kart handling, but it's implied. Can't remember if you're on your fulls yet OzKo but how about a Mini Cooper? It seems to have a bit more personality which might be of interest to you, and handles well.

    Management Consulting

I'd also caveat the above with that given the size of the relative areas, the amount of people they hire at graduate level also can vary since the big 4 firms tend to get a lot of their teams through lateral hires or internal transfers/secondments once people have some industry experience...

What car do you drive? (the new one)

I've seen some pretty good MR2 replicas of Ferraris/Lambos in Malaysia but you can tell once you get up close... that and engine sound.

    'Exciting' cars for under $20k

Depends how much you're willing to invest in terms of time to fix things up/deal with issues which may arise. Are you looking new or used?

Very Interesting Concept for a Motorsport Team....

I don't disagree there's money to be made but the risk-weighted return definitely would in many of these 'start-up' cases be very negligible that it would warrant categorisation as a hobby rather than an investment IMO. Some of the more experienced teams with a track record (haha see what I did...

    Nintendo 3DS vs 2DS

I find I play my gf's 2DS quite a bit when I'm lying in bed as the tablet form is much easier to hold. The screen is a bit smaller and feels not as lively as my 3DSXL but it's easier to handle. Managed to finish Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask too after playing an hour each night. Now to...

    About commerce....

Don't change it for the sake of changing but just be sure you know what you're signing up for and why. Just because there aren't many positions or jobs doesn't mean you shouldn't pursue what you're passionate about.

Very Interesting Concept for a Motorsport Team....

The way I see it- sponsoring something like this in the modern world is more a hobby or a passion as opposed to a business venture. Trying to turn it into a business where you measure ROI will never be enough.

Very Interesting Concept for a Motorsport Team....

Interesting way to get funding and it goes to show both i) how difficult it is to succeed in motorsport these days (i.e. it's not just about skill, it's also about funding); and ii) advertising/marketing alone isn't enough to sponsor a team. It reminds me of the dragons den episode where a...

I didn't download it but good on you guys for writing up a guide! I'm sure other guys here would appreciate it.

UNSW vs. MQ for actuarial (POLL!)

There are plenty of more qualified people who can respond to this thread with value than myself but I can state based on observations: 1. Macquarie seems to have a better reputation than UNSW in actuarial - at least amongst the people I talk to. 2. Of all my friends who finished actuarial...

    Inspired by Business Scholarship Interview

For what it's worth, and I won't mention which panels I sit on, when I'm sitting on these I don't really tend to notice what people wear unless they wear something totally inappropriate or too casual for the occasion that it stands out - this could be more indicative that they knew what to wear...

    New C Class

Probably a little bit, but I've spent quite a bit of time test driving the other brands (I was seriously considering Audi A4/TT both last time when I bought the Evo X and when I bought the C250), and my family have some of the reasonably decent spec German cars in the stable... but no doubt I...

    Work environment or the money?

Yes it is, and remember I'm 27 now so my salary expectations of any role I'd even consider are very different to the Op's position... but let's not derail this thread.

    New C Class

Fair enough- I admit I'm a huge fan of the more recent designs coming out of MB. The XF was stellar when it was new but I don't think it's aged that well after seeing it now and potentially the new C Class may have the same issue. Agreed the floating display looks tacked on (I recently had a...

    Apple Watch / iPhone 6

Ever since I bought an iPhone 4, I've upgraded each year (4, 4S, 5, 5S) as I have two phones, and I don't intend to break the tradition... but that being said, the Apple Watch looks cool but I'm not sure how functional I'll find it. Also concerned it's a first gen product- thinking back to the...

    Work environment or the money?

We don't get paid by the hour and it ranges depending on exact role, employer, experience level, etc... based on my current salary, it's somewhere in the $70-$100 an hour range (assuming a 7.5 hour workday... which isn't really that accurate).
