    Which uni should i be loooking to get into???

    Sorry don't know much about that. Don't forget, some firms also allow UWS too. So your options aren't that limited.

    powerpoint -> PDF

    No probs. Well if you need it right this wk and haven't got time to find a program which works- I might be able to help you this once =P

    Pushing the limit..

    I agree demerit points are important, but you might as well take into account any other costs which are involved when speeding.

    powerpoint -> PDF

    Just to confirm- take the screenshot of your printers listed. If there's no Adobe PDF, I'm guessing you don't have the program on there to make printouts into PDF. If it helps and you're really stuck, and this is a one-off, I'll do it for you. Just email me the file and incl. how you want it...

    Pushing the limit..

    But then whilst demerit points remain the same- the fine goes up! If you're really game, you could always try to beat this: ... or maybe beat my uncle's driving at least.

    powerpoint -> PDF

    If you have Adobe Acrobat installed, you should have the Adobe PDF Printer driver installed (forgot the name)- basically it just acts as if it was a printer but instead of printing anything out, it saves it. You go into PPT and print it using handout mode and voila!

    Pushing the limit..

    I'd say it all depends on context. If you can prove you had a damn good reason to speed (maybe there was a maniac holding a gun to your head as you drove?) then I'm pretty sure they'd grant you some leniency.

    Castle Towers

    I'm also surprised... It's as if JB Hi-Fi just popped up everywhere overnight. I wish there was one in castle towers though. Agreed. It's a nice safe shopping environment =]

    Accountancy Firms

    Are you talking about the industry in general, or the people within it?

    Cover letters - make or break?

    4-7 lines per paragraph? 4*5 = 20. Bearable. 7*5 = 35. Maybe going overboard a bit. I guess it really depends on what's in the cover letter though. Are you just using cliched buzz words/phrases to talk yourself up, or are you actually talking about stuff which is relevant? I remember on...

    Kpmg

    LOL It's listed?!!... wow. I have to admit I've had a pretty good time with my jobs so far and the people are very helpful. I'm also surprised noone (yet) has told the auditors off for asking too many Q's!

    Cover letters - make or break?

    Just dawned on me... we might have very different views on what constitutes a paragraph.

    Cover letters - make or break?

    5 paragraph cover letter is considered short...? I can only imagine how many volumes your resume must be! The way I saw it was the cover letter should entice the person to read your resume- and not to tell them exactly what they'd find from the resume. It's kindof like how a resume should get...

    Sounds like audit would be a good starting point for you :). The work, is interesting because you get to read interesting things (assuming you're in a division you are interested in- eg. entertainment or army), and it's quite straightforward- but there is A LOT of interaction/communication with...

    Rotary engine Vs. Piston engine

    From memory there's a pretty good explanation somewhere on howstuffworks.com

    Do you like economics?

    I enjoyed economics... it felt like something useful, and if you are interested in business and investing, then learning it at HSC level will not only be useful to you then, it'll be useful in the future (also if you choose to study Commerce- you'll ace eco in uni!).

    Rotary engine Vs. Piston engine

    I doubt many people here really understand the differences between the two. But in all honesty, I think Mazda is only sticking with Rotary just to be "unique" and they'd probably be better off devoting those resources elsewhere.

    image- the truman show

    You could talk about how businesses and the media can manipulate the truth in an attempt to gain ratings and advertising revenue- and link this back to Frontline.

    image- the truman show

    I did the Truman show as part of my Telling the Truth module... basically I took the angle that when someone is exposed to a lie their entire life, they'll never know it to be a lie? It's kindof like the whole if you never awaken from a dream, how would you know it was a dream? Btw if it...

    PriceWaterhouseCoopers

    I'm really quite curious what it is... if you're bored, check out the PwC website and try to find out what it's called. Maybe it's a new specialist division or something? *shrugs* As for the recruitment advertisements- I think it's meant to say that PwC is a fun place to work at, and people...
