    Not sure about law

I think you actually need a law degree to practice?? If you are looking at just academics then the masters of international law should be fine. And what do you mean by its international component? Public International Law (or lack of)? International Mediation/Arbitration?

UNSW BActl/Bcommerce vs. MACQ BActl/BApplied Finance

    combined law with eas

Yes generally it will depend on how many EAS points you get. However, for Law I believe all EAS are treated the same and so will be the points. The number of points vary from year to year. Some years it can be as high as 3 and some years it can be as low as 1.

    combined law with eas

I can't guarantee that you will get in but I think you have a very good chance. It varies from year to year what ATAR + EAS will get in. I was saying the same thing to Drifting, in 2011 (HSC 2010) the ATAR cut off for law was 99.65 and my friend who had an ATAR of 97.50 + EAS got into law. Hope...

Some questions about uni [unsw], please helpp :)

    1) Don't worry too much about UOC it's just how many units the course is worth. It does not really mean difficulty or anything. Most courses are 6 UOC and you need to do 24 UOC per semester for a full load. 2) I haven't done those courses but from what I heard the harder courses do tend to...

Don't be devo. You gave it your all. Sure, you could have tried harder and possibly do a bit better. We all can but as long as at the time we gave it our best shot, that's all that matters.

Ah ok. Then chances you were tied first and the student that tied with you didnt do as well. In fact the next highest mark from your school was probably a 95 or a 96.

Unlikely you will find anyone here with the course outline as it is a new course. You guys will be the first cohort to do it. I will try to ask a friend of mine if they still have the Contracts 2 course outline (Old Contracts Course)

so your assessment mark is lower? Cause you said your exam mark is lower earlier. If your exam mark is lower, that means someone in your school got higher than you in the HSC Exam. If your assessment mark is lower and you got the highest exam mark, maybe you weren't first but equal first? And...

Below cutoff for law but with eas

If you prefer USYD law over UNSW law then put USYD as first preference. If it's the other way round put UNSW first. Like D94 said, put something else as back up. There is no guarantee that you will get in with EAS. It all depends on supply/demand

    Do we need textbooks for:

Homework questions are set from there. Also Dr Evil (lecturer in charge as he likes to be called) sometimes sets exam questions from textbook to see if people actually do homework.

    Commerce at UNSW still achievable?!

I had a friend who got in with an ATAR of about 90.50 when the cutoff was 96.70 so I think you have a good chance. You can def use both EAS and HSC Plus. The exact amount I am not too sure. I wish you all the best and hopefully will be seeing you around at ASB next year!
