You're 18- don't think they'll mind too much. Beats talking to you on a broken phone line/connection if your mobile is playing up. The other option you also have is when they call, just ask them if they can call you on your home phone to have a better connection?

I'd give them a home phone number if you hadn't already and make sure they call you there?

I really liked the BDO interview back in my day- we had fun activities in the group session including building a straw tower with straws + sticky tape. I got through to second round but declined.

Maybe. But was your family friend in recruitment or just a general person who worked there? I'd be conscious that the newer recruitment techniques which use those online personality tests are very effective at removing the standardised questions approach and targeting them to suit individual...

I always found it interesting how people modify cars to look fast whereas when I had my Evo I tried to keep it looking stock to avoid attention!

I'm a bit over R34s now. They are everywhere on the streets these days (admittedly none of the exotic varieties- only seen a few V-Specs around).

Probably worth letting them know since most firms tend to interview you from someone in the area you are interested in.

A friend on her P's just bought an Audi A5 3.0 TDI which is eligible under the exemption and was $120k. Goes decently being turbo diesel and all :)

This. But try to keep it interesting and be aware of the limitations of a telephone interview from a candidate's perspective (i.e. you can't see the body signals or facial expression of your interviewer).

    Cadetships 2013 thread

Mohsin, given that one of the key criteria for a cadetship/traineeship is the ability to balance work and study (whilst maintaining some kind of life), how would you be able to handle it if you were unable to adequately prioritise the applications you were keen on? I used to think it was cruel...

I probably wouldn't mention remuneration/scholarship $$ in the interview... but as far as I know, cadetships pay a lot better but then you have to work more.
